Domenico Tagliente studied organ, harpsichord and composition in Rome with G. Agostini and T. Procaccini and also earned a postgraduate degree in musicology. He later studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna with Hans Haselböck and Alfred Mitterhofer and earned a Master of Arts Degree. Tagliente enrolled in master classes with maestros such as Daniel Roth, Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, Martin Haselböck and Liuwe Tamminga. He is very active as a concert performer and has been invited to participate in major European organ festivals such as the Bach Fest Leipzig (Germany), St. Stephan's Cathedral in Vienna (Austria), the International Organ Festival in Avignon (France), St. Görans Church in Stockholm (Sweden), the International Organ Festival Treviso (Italy), St. Pauli Church in Goteborg (Sweden), the Janacek Academy in Brno (Czech Republic), the International Organ Festival in Saarbrucken and Tholey (Germany), the International Organ Festival in Zurich and Zug (Switzerland), the Ab Harmoniae Festival in Monte Carlo (Monaco), Bergamo (Italy), Organi antichi in Bologna (Italy), Orgue Plus in Strasbourg (France), F. Xaverius Church in Düsseldorf (Germany), the Organ Festival in Kielce (Poland). He is artistic director of the Minoritenkirche of Vienna, artistic director of the Bari International Organ Festival, organ and composition professor at the Conservatorio Nino Rota in Italy, guest professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna and guest professor at the University of Music of Weimar and Lübeck. He has published a revised work for keyboards by Giovanni Paisiello and a number of articles for organ and musicology journals. As for his career as a composer, he is profoundly intrigued by electro-acoustic music and has written an infinity of works for the cinema and theatre.
