Wolfgang Reisinger was born in Vienna in 1964. After concluding church and organ music studies with Professor Alfred Mitterhofer at the University of Music and Arts in Vienna, he moved to Sweden where he secured the post of organist in the Cathedral in 1987. He was later hired as organist in the monastery of St. Florian in Upper Austria and in 1990, returned to Vienna, where he was in charge of the church music department and professor at the conservatory in the diocese of Vienna, a post he still holds. Reisinger has performed as a soloist in concerts all around the world and as a choir director, chamber ensemble conductor and soloist, primarily in Scandinavia, Central Europe and the United States. He is very active as a composer and teaches a number of church music and improvisation courses. He was guest professor at the University of Music and Arts in Vienna in 2004 and 2006.
